And the nominees are...(Barrymores 2019!)

If you’re in or around the Philly theatre scene, you were likely tuning in (whether live, on social media, or through the grapevine the next day) to last week’s announcement of nominees for the 2019 Barrymore Awards. But for those who don’t know — the Barrymore Awards celebrate excellence in theatre in the Greater Philadelphia area!

This year, Azuka was proud to receive 7 nominations for our show Boycott Esther, including one for our own Artistic Associate and fabulous director Maura Krause — and our latest New Pages playwright Alexandra Espinoza! We’re also proud to see all of the other fantastic artists represented on the list of nominees.

Congratulations to all of the nominees — we’ll see you at the ceremony in a couple of months!
