Scenic Designer

Matthew J. Keenan (he/him) was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin. He has worked both as an actor and designer, primarily with The Classical Theatre Company in Houston TX, and The Keegan Theatre Company in Washington DC. He’s also the playwright of Keegan Theatre's An Irish Carol.

Some Keegan designs include; Noises Off, Shakespeare In Love, Sweat, Webster's Bitch, Legally Blonde, Parade, The Lonesome West, American Idiot, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Chicago, The Bridges Of Madison County, The Undeniable Sound of Right Now, Lincolnesque and #Charlottesville.

Some Classical Theatre scenic designs include; Three Sisters, The Marriage Of Figaro, Peer Gynt and Electra.

Other scenic design credits include; Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead (The University Of Rochester), Cinderella: A Salsa Fairytale (Imagination Stage), Once (American University), and The Revolutionists (Prologue Theater Company).
