Heather Mease (she/her) is a composer, electronic musician, and multimedia artist. Heather’s practice includes combining electronics and old-time fiddling, building mini golf holes, hosting an experimental country radio show, making Jersey Club tracks to DJ, creating sound design for theater, composing electroacoustic concert music, and much more! Her research focuses on intersections of early and new music, the grain and appropriation of media, early recording and reproduction technologies, sampling and remix, and intersections of gender and sexuality in music technology. Heather is a frequent collaborator and friend of Priyanka Shetty.
Heather is Lecturer of Music Production and Social Justice at the University of Southampton where she teaches composition, music technology, and production in ways that emphasize accessibility and diverse perspectives. She lives in London, UK.
