Alexandra King (Dramaturg)
Alexandra is a theatre artist living in Philadelphia since 2016. She works as an actor, dramaturg, director and playwright. Recent credits include dramaturg for The Swallowing Dark (Inis Nua) and William Penn in Peaceable Kingdom (Orbiter 3. Barrymore Nomination, Best Ensemble). This spring she is finishing her MA in Theatre at Villanova University where she has appeared as the Angel in Marisol, Mayme in Intimate Apparel, and Don John in the upcoming production of Much Ado About Nothing directed by James Ijames. She has directed staged readings and student showcases, most recently directing Cuttin' It by Charlene James for the Inis Nua Unheard Women's Voices Reading Series. Before moving to Philly she was an actor, teacher, and community arts facilitator in Hong Kong for five years.
